Paint Lake is part of Lake of Bays and home to approximately 100 full-time residents and cottagers. Paint Lake is "spring-fed" and has sandy beaches, rocky shores and shores in-between. We have great fishing, boating & swimming in clean summer water or snowmobiling across ice and hard packed snow. Paint Lake Road and Bellwood Acres Road are both now 40 km/h. Please abide by the posted limit.

Leaving Paint Lake through Paint Lake Creek takes you into Trading Bay and Lake of Bays proper. From here you have boating access to Baysville, Dwight, Oxtongue River, Dorset, Little Trading Bay to Hollow River and back to Paint Lake. You can spend hours on the water. Many snowmobile trails cross these same ice-covered waters.

Paint Lake is the home of the "Paint Lake Pioneer Cemetery" where many of the areas forefathers lie at rest. The oldest graves date well back into the 1800's as well as some W.W.I, W.W.II and Korean Conflict Veterans.

Paint Lake is located in a Valley. In summer we are warmer than the forecasted Muskoka high and in winter when the lake is frozen, we are colder than the Muskoka forecasts.

The Paint Lake Ratepayers Associations' Annual General Meeting is usually scheduled for one of the summer Saturdays. A Regatta follows on the Sunday morning of the August Civic Holiday Weekend at about 10:30 a.m.

Some of our full time Residents provide various services such as "General Contracting", "Security Systems & Monitoring", "Hot Tubs and Spas", "Grounds Maintenance", "Arts & Crafts", "Produce & Flowers", "X10 Home Automation Controls", etc.

The following mosaic shows the lakes' seasons. Due to the number of images, please wait while they load. Place your cursor on the photo, a description will come up in your status bar.
