Bays
and
home
to
approximately
100
full-time
residents
and
cottagers.
Paint
Lake
is
"spring-fed"
and
has
sandy
beaches,
rocky
shores
and
shores
in-between.
We
have
great
fishing,
boating
&
swimming
in
clean
summer
water
or
snowmobiling
across
ice
and
hard
packed
snow.
Paint
Lake
Road
and
Bellwood
Acres
Road
are
both
now
40
km/h.
Please
abide
by
the
posted
limit.

Leaving
Paint
Lake
through
Paint
Lake
Creek
takes
you into
Trading
Bay and
Lake of
Bays
proper.
From
here you
have
boating
access
to
Baysville,
Dwight,
Oxtongue
River,
Dorset,
Little
Trading
Bay to
Hollow
River
and back
to Paint
Lake.
You can
spend
hours on
the
water.
Many
snowmobile
trails
cross
these
same
ice-covered
waters.
Paint
Lake is
the home
of the
"Paint
Lake
Pioneer
Cemetery"
where
many of
the
areas
forefathers
lie at
rest.
The
oldest
graves
date
well
back
into the
1800's
as well
as some
W.W.I,
W.W.II
and
Korean
Conflict
Veterans.
Paint
Lake is
located
in a
Valley.
In
summer
we are
warmer
than the
forecasted
Muskoka
high and
in
winter
when the
lake is
frozen,
we are
colder
than the
Muskoka
forecasts.
The
Paint
Lake
Ratepayers
Associations'
Annual
General
Meeting
is
usually
scheduled
for one
of the
summer
Saturdays.
A
Regatta
follows
on the
Sunday
morning
of the
August
Civic
Holiday
Weekend
at about
10:30
a.m.
Some
